About Practical Action
Overview
Practical Action is an international development group, building sustainable lives and livelihoods with people on the frontlines of poverty and climate change. We put ingenious ideas to work so people in poverty can change their world, operating as a global change-making group with community projects across Africa, Asia, and Latin America. Our work includes technical consulting, publishing, and community-led projects that focus on energy, agriculture, and disaster risk reduction.
Mission
Practical Action aims to help people find solutions to some of the world’s toughest problems, particularly those exacerbated by climate change and gender inequality. They work with communities to develop ingenious, lasting, and locally owned solutions.
Values
Practical Action believes in the power of small actions to drive significant change, emphasizing that together, we can take practical action to build futures free from poverty.
