About Raising The Village (RTV)
Overview
Raising The Village is an international development nonprofit that partners with last-mile rural communities — especially in Uganda and Rwanda — to help families overcome ultra-poverty and build sustainable livelihoods. The organization works with subsistence farming households through a multidimensional, evidence-informed program that improves income, food security, community engagement, and local capacity over approximately 24 months per community cohort.
Mission
To partner with last-mile, rural communities to address ultra-poverty through holistic, community-led programs that increase household income, strengthen livelihoods, and build sustainable pathways out of extreme poverty.
