About TICAH (Trust for Indigenous Culture and Health)
Overview
TICAH is a feminist, justice-oriented organization dedicated to bridging the gap between historical cultural knowledge and contemporary health challenges. We believe that culture is a fundamental marker of a healthy community and work to empower individuals through safe spaces, indigenous nutrition, and artistic expression to foster equitable, healthy, and resilient societies.
Mission
To promote a deeper understanding of the connections between health and culture and to use that understanding to help communities make the best choices possible for health and well-being.
Values
TICAH is guided by the belief in holistic health, the power of listening and co-creation, and the importance of safe spaces for open dialogue. We are committed to gender justice, climate justice, and the recognition of indigenous knowledge as a vital tool for healing and social change.
