Operations Manager - Motor Company

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the company to ensure efficiency and effectiveness across all departments
• Develop and implement operational policies, procedures and performance standards
• Coordinate vehicle procurement, inventory management and distribution activities
• Supervise workshop operations to ensure timely, high-quality vehicle servicing and repairs
• Manage spare parts inventory to maintain adequate stock levels and minimize downtime
• Monitor operational costs and implement cost-control measures without compromising service quality
• Collaborate with the Sales and Finance departments to achieve business objectives and improve profitability
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and regulatory requirements
• Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure operational performance
• Lead, mentor and evaluate departmental managers and operational staff
• Resolve operational challenges and implement continuous improvement initiatives
• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, transport providers and other stakeholders
• Prepare operational reports and provide strategic recommendations to senior management

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Mechanical Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a related field
• A postgraduate qualification in Management or Business Administration is an added advantage
• Minimum of five years' experience in operations management, with at least three years in a leadership role
• Experience in the automotive, motor vehicle, dealership, transport or manufacturing industry is highly desirable
• Strong knowledge of supply chain management, inventory control, workshop operations and business process improvement
