Acquisition Officer

• Assess incoming loan applications for completeness and basic eligibility per Numida's policies
• Conduct due diligence interviews with applicants via phone to approve or dismiss loan applications
• Perform basic financial analysis of applicant businesses, validating business activities and financial situations
• Communicate with clients, providing clear guidance on necessary corrections and exceptional customer service
• Address inbound service inquiries through phone and WhatsApp, ensuring prompt and professional resolution
• Foster positive relationships, even with declined applicants, and promote recommendations to qualifying business owners
• Collaborate with the Commercial Strategy and operational teams on experiments to enhance service quality
• Execute referral calls to applicants who have dropped off to generate new business opportunities

Qualifications & Experience:

• University degree in any field
• 1+ year of work experience in a Customer Care function or in a Credit Institution
• Experience working in a Call Center is a strong asset
• Fluency in English and Runyakitara is required; candidates must be willing to relocate to Mbarara, Western Uganda

• Knowledge and practical experience with great customer care principles
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Computer proficiency with relatively high typing speeds
• Good critical-thinking and problem-solving skills
