Area Collections Executive

• Convert delinquent accounts to current customers through overdue client visits and performing collection calls
• Work with Area Business Managers and Field Sales Executives/Energy Officers to minimize default rates through follow up on delinquent customers
• Identify, report and investigate suspected fraud or tampering cases
• Escalate complex cases (client complaints, tampering, fraud) working closely with the Fraud Management team
• Train field agents on key risk processes including various collection techniques and repossession
• Drive operating rhythm to follow up with agents (Field Officers) to ensure they complete collection calls and repossession tasks on time
• Examine area portfolio and repayment trends and lay down daily, weekly, monthly strategies to drive better collection rates
• Conduct mystery market visits to confirm the quality of sales and obtain insights to enhance strategic direction and mitigate delinquency
• Provide weekly updates to Sales and Risk management teams on field interventions performed and results achieved, along with customer insights
• Design, pilot, and operationalize collection processes to ensure better repayments and customer satisfaction

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in a Criminology-related course
• At least 2 years of experience, preferably in collections or fraud identification & investigation
• Credit management experience in an MFI/bank/fintech/PAYGO company is an added advantage
• Previous work experience in field collections is an added advantage
