To provide comprehensive specialist care to adult patients with cardiovascular conditions through accurate diagnosis, evidence-based management, treatment, and ongoing follow-up, with the aim of improving cardiovascular health outcomes and quality of life. This is a full-time position at the Institute headquarters in Mulago, Kampala.

Description (Public)
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat cardiovascular adult conditions
- Implement patient care management plans
- Conduct ward rounds in the specialty area.
- Participate in training programmes for all health Professionals
- Supervise medical officers, interns and trainees
- Identify procurement needs of the department for equipment, drugs and other logistics
- Prepare departmental workplans, budgets and reports
- Prepares duty rosters.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Qualifications & Experience:
- MB.Ch.B from a recognized University or Institution.
- Master of Medicine degree (Internal Medicine) or its equivalent from a recognized University/Institution.
- Fellowship training in Adult Cardiology or a Masters in Cardiology

- Should be registered with the Uganda Medical and Dental Practitioners Council
- Must possess a valid practicing license.
- Working experience of at least three (3) years at a Medical Officer level.
