Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat paediatric cardiovascular conditions and conduct cardiovascular surgeries
- Implement patient care management plans.
- Conduct ward rounds in the specialty area.
- Participate in training programmes for all health Professionals.
- Supervise medical officers, interns and trainees
- Identify procurement needs of the department for equipment, drugs and other logistics.
- Prepares duty rosters.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Qualifications & Experience:
- MBCh.B degree or its equivalent from a recognized University or Institution.
- Master of Medicine degree in General Surgery from a recognized University/Institution.
- Applicants should be registered with the Uganda Medical and Dental Practitioners Council.
- Fellowship in cardiovascular surgery.
- Must possess a valid practicing license.
- Working experience of at least three (3) years as a Medical Officer.
