Description (Public)
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Plan and lead audit fieldwork for public sector and NGO clients, guiding junior audit staff
- Review audit working papers and resolve review points raised by managers and partners
- Engage clients on audit scope, timelines, findings and recommendations
- Draft audited financial statements and management letters in line with IPSAS, IFRS and applicable donor requirements
- Perform risk assessments, compliance testing and substantive procedures across client engagements
- Support reporting on grants and donor-funded projects, including compliance with funding agreements
- Mentor and coach audit assistants and trainees on engagements
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Qualifications & Experience:
- CPA or ACCA qualification
- Minimum 5 years of audit experience
- Audit experience covering public sector and/or NGO clients is essential for this role
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong technical audit and accounting skills
- IPSAS, IFRS and donor reporting knowledge
