• Pull food from freezer storage to thaw in the refrigerator; check the quantity and quality of deliveries and received products
• Date delivered boxes and record food and supply deliveries; rotate food in freezer, walk-in cooler and stockroom prior to the arrival of a delivery
• Prepare various cuts of meat as required (beef, lamb, pork), labelling cut type, date and meat destination
• Monitor the quality and quantity of food prepared and portion controls
• Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards and food preparation checklists
• Follow company safety, security and hygiene policies; report maintenance needs and unsafe conditions; complete required safety certifications
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment and protect company assets

Qualifications & Experience:

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
• 4 to 6 years of related work experience in butchery, food preparation or commercial culinary roles

Skills & Competencies:

• Knowledge of food safety, meat processing standards, portion control and kitchen equipment operation
• Physical capability to stand or walk for extended periods, bend, twist and lift/carry up to 25 lbs (about 11 kg) without assistance
• Clear and professional communication skills
• Team player with dedication to hospitality standards
