Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and handle all billing and point of sale operations accurately
- Handle cash responsibly, including opening and closing the cash drawer and counting cash at start and end of shift
- Provide excellent, polite and professional service at the cash desk
- Handle customer queries regarding bills and resolve complaints calmly
- Maintain a neat, organized and presentable cashier area
- Follow all restaurant standard operating procedures, cashiering policies and financial controls
- Ensure confidentiality of all sales and financial information
- Maintain proper filing of invoices, receipts and daily reports
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Qualifications & Experience:
- Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Hotel Management or a related field
- Certificate in Hotel/Restaurant Management is an added advantage
- Experience in a cashier role
Skills & Competencies:
- Excellent mental mathematics and fast, accurate calculations
- High level of honesty, integrity and trustworthiness
- Proficiency in MS Excel, POS systems and accounting basics
- Smart, well-groomed, with excellent communication skills in English
