Clearing Officer

The Clearing Officer handles payment processing, inward and outward clearing, verification and settlement support, ensuring accurate and timely processing of EFT, cheque and RTGS transactions and resolution of service queries.

Duties, Roles and Responsibilities

Prepare outward EFT and cheque clearing and post authorised transactions
Verify RTGS items and perform cheque checks and required callbacks
Capture payments in bank systems and process mobile bulk payments
Resolve service queries and maintain direct-debit and related records

Qualifications, Education and Competencies

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor's degree as listed in the vacancy
Branch-banking experience; one year in BOU clearing is desirable

Skills & Competencies:

Accuracy and attention to detail in payment processing
Knowledge of clearing and settlement procedures
Customer service and query resolution
Records management
