The Commercial Performance & Governance Manager will drive commercial strategy, performance analytics, and governance frameworks to ensure business objectives are met, stakeholders are influenced, and compliance is maintained across the Uganda market.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Design mechanisms to measure business performance critical metrics versus targets.
- Lead the Commercial Governance Calendar, ensuring timely execution of business reviews, governance forums, and compliance assessments.
- Facilitate key commercial initiatives in line with the Annual Operating Plan.
- Partner with Finance, Legal, and Compliance teams to ensure alignment with corporate governance standards.
- Constructively challenge and enhance value in key business areas through thorough planning, forecasting and valuation modelling.
- Mentor and develop others across the commercial organization.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
- Business Degree level with strong academic record.
- 6-8 years FMCG experience, including significant experience in sales operations, business analytics, commercial excellence or business performance management.
- Strong understanding of strategy development & Implementation, project & change management, corporate governance principles, risk management frameworks and internal control environments.
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive accountability.
- Professional certification in Risk Management, Internal Controls, Governance, Compliance, Finance or Project Management (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CIA, PMP) would be an added advantage.
