Community Engagement Officer

• Develop and implement community engagement and mobilization plans in line with project objectives
• Identify and establish relationships with community leaders, groups, local authorities and other relevant stakeholders
• Organize community meetings, dialogues, forums, awareness campaigns and other engagement activities
• Mobilize community members to participate in project activities and promote meaningful participation of women, youth, persons with disabilities and other potentially marginalized groups
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with local government officials, community leaders, NGOs, CBOs, schools, health facilities and private-sector actors
• Represent the organization at relevant community and stakeholder meetings and facilitate communication between communities and project teams
• Conduct community consultations, focus group discussions, interviews and other participatory assessments, supporting baseline assessments where required
• Develop and deliver community awareness and sensitization activities and translate technical project information into clear messages for community audiences
• Establish and support accessible community feedback and accountability mechanisms

Qualifications & Experience:

• Master's degree (per advert requirements)
• Experience in community engagement, mobilization and stakeholder relations
• Track record working with local government and community-based structures
