Company Production Veterinarian

• Lead the roll-out of Production Department SOPs across all breeder farms and production sites
• Train, mentor and coach production teams on SOP implementation, including biosecurity, welfare standards and performance optimisation
• Develop and deliver practical vaccination and disease monitoring training to strengthen diagnostic capabilities of technical staff
• Monitor and analyse parent stock and hatchery performance (mortality, egg production, hatchability) and report to the CTO and country management
• Attend, participate in and at times lead weekly production meetings
• Identify production bottlenecks and recommend corrective actions rooted in veterinary best practice and Hatch Africa Group standards
• Conduct production site audits (breeder farms, hatcheries, feed mill) to assess SOP compliance and product quality
• Provide actionable feedback and follow up with management, operational and technical teams on corrective action plans
• Escalate repetitive non-conformance or deteriorating audit results
• Communicate frontline technical insights to the Group CTO to influence SOP revisions and technical strategy
• Work closely with other departments to align technical support and performance goals, and liaise with external stakeholders and consultants
• Support ongoing technical training and coaching for production teams and help maintain training materials and technical guidelines

Qualifications & Experience:

• Degree in Veterinary Medicine (DVM or equivalent)
• Fluent in English and local language(s)
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills with an eagerness to learn and teach others
• Willingness to travel to different production sites
• Suitable for high-performing technically-minded new graduates, though experienced professionals will be considered
