KCB Bank Uganda is recruiting a Credit Reference Bureau (CRB) Officer to manage credit reporting operations, maintain data integrity, and handle dispute resolutions. The position ensures accurate credit data submissions to accredited credit reference bureaus in compliance with Bank of Uganda regulations. The officer will also reconcile CRB service fees and support branch staff with credit report retrievals.

Duties, Roles and Responsibilities

Submit, validate, and clean customer credit data sent to accredited credit reference bureaus.
Investigate credit reporting disputes from clients and correct inaccurate or obsolete database records.
Prepare regulatory credit reporting summaries and reconcile monthly CRB vendor invoice payments.
Coordinate data updates and credit bureau inquiry requests with branch managers and relationship teams.
Perform routine system audits to identify data discrepancies and ensure full regulatory compliance.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies

Qualifications & Experience:

Holds a bachelor's degree in Banking, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Business Computing, or a related field.
Possesses practical knowledge of credit reference bureau operating guidelines and central bank credit regulations.
Demonstrates prior experience in banking credit operations, data reconciliation, or financial database management.

Skills & Competencies:

High analytical accuracy, attention to detail, and proficiency in credit reporting database software.
Effective dispute resolution, stakeholder communication, and customer confidentiality management.
