We are seeking a detail-driven Credit & Compliance Manager to lead our credit decisions, develop credit policies, and ensure full business compliance with regulations.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Make sound lending decisions that grow a healthy, profitable loan book.
- Lead credit appraisal and approve applications within delegated limits.
- Develop and enforce credit policy, scoring and approval workflows.
- Verify applicants, guarantors and dealer documents before disbursement.
- Set and review lending limits, pricing and product criteria.
- Train and supervise credit officers for consistent, quality decisions.
- Keep the business compliant, licensed and audit-ready at all times.
- Ensure compliance with UMRA regulations and licence conditions.
- Oversee KYC and AML/CFT checks and reporting to the FIA.
- Protect customer data in line with the Data Protection and Privacy Act.
- Run compliance reviews and track audit findings to closure.
- Report compliance status and regulatory changes to management and the Board.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
- Experience in credit analysis and regulatory compliance in microfinance or asset finance.
- Strong analytical skills and sharp judgement.
- High attention to detail.
