Credit Officer - Enveritas Pilot Project

• Mobilise and train farmer groups on the VSLA model covering savings, lending, share purchase, the social fund and constitutions
• Train pilot groups on governance, record keeping, financial literacy and use of the Ensibuuko app
• Onboard groups and members onto the platform and verify data accuracy
• Market loan products and explain terms clearly in Lumasaba
• Assess group loan applications, run due diligence and recommend loans for approval
• Coordinate disbursements and ensure loan documentation is complete
• Track repayments, follow up arrears and keep Portfolio at Risk within target
• Make field visits, prepare weekly and monthly reports on mobilisation, disbursements, collections and PAR
• Build relationships with local leaders, Enveritas field staff and local partners

Qualifications & Experience:

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Microfinance, Agribusiness, Development Studies or a related field
• Fluent in Lumasaba (Lugisu), spoken and written, which is mandatory, plus good English
• Proven experience mobilising and training community or farmer groups on the VSLA model
• Experience managing a loan portfolio including appraisal, disbursement, collections and arrears management
• Lives in or is willing to live in Manafwa or a nearby district

Skills & Competencies:

• Comfortable with smartphones, digital applications and basic Excel
• A valid motorcycle riding permit is an added advantage
• Experience with digital financial services or agricultural value chains, especially coffee in Bugisu, is an advantage
• High integrity and strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Self-driven, results-oriented and able to work with little supervision
