Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Recruit, train and build trust with community borrowing groups in the assigned branch area
- Assess group members' businesses and loan applications, and recommend approvals within policy
- Disburse approved group loans and monitor utilization of funds
- Follow up repayments, conduct group meetings, and manage arrears and recoveries proactively
- Maintain accurate member, group and loan records and prepare branch lending reports
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Qualifications & Experience:
- Degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Agriculture, Law, Education, Accounting, Marketing, Development Studies, Social Sciences, Microfinance, Commerce, IT or a related field
- Highly motivated candidates are sought; female candidates are encouraged to apply
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong interpersonal and community mobilization skills
- Integrity and ability to handle cash and records responsibly
- Willingness to work in the field and travel within the branch area
- Good numeracy and record-keeping skills
- Ability to state preferred branch (Mubende or Kiboga) in the application
