Lead and supervise daily dispatch operations, ensuring efficient vehicle allocation, route monitoring, and real-time schedule adjustments to support Twyford International Uganda's logistics operations.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Plan and supervise daily dispatch operations
- Assign vehicles, monitor routes and adjust schedules in real time
- Liaise with warehouse, customers and internal teams
- Monitor KPIs: on-time delivery, fuel efficiency
- Ensure vehicle maintenance, documents and compliance
- Handle issues, resolve complaints and drive continuous improvement
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Transport Management or related field
- 5-8 years' experience in transport, logistics or fleet management (2-3 years in a supervisory role)
- Proven skills in route planning, driver supervision and fleet maintenance
- Valid driving permit (Class B or higher)
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in MS Office; knowledge of TMS, ERP (e.g. SAP) is an advantage
- Fluent in English (spoken and written)
