Field Officer supporting coffee farmer organisations on behalf of Aldelia's coffee-sector client, covering farmer mobilisation, training, loan portfolio growth and coffee quality.

Duties, Roles and Responsibilities

Act as the primary point of contact between the company and coffee farmer organisations in your area.
Lead the establishment and development of Farmer Organizations, including group structuring, leadership and governance.
Deliver hands-on farmer training in field school methods, coffee production standards and business management.
Grow the farmer loan portfolio by recruiting eligible farmers and managing portfolio quality.
Support farmer organisations with bulking, processing and timely delivery of coffee to the factory.
Monitor coffee handling so quality standards are met and defects minimised.
Register farmers in the company mobile system under their own mobile money numbers.
Report field activity and farmer data to the Regional Team Leader.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies

Diploma or degree in agriculture, agribusiness, cooperative management or a related field.
Field experience working with smallholder coffee farmers and farmer groups.
Knowledge of good agricultural practices and climate-smart farming.
Strong training, relationship management and communication skills.
