• Post journals and maintain ledgers under IFRS and Group policy; run month-end and year-end closes
• Reconcile daily and monthly customer wallets, safeguarding and settlement accounts, banks, mobile money operators and gateways
• Record multi-currency transactions and revalue balances monthly
• Compute, file and pay local taxes (VAT, PAYE, WHT, income tax) and statutory deductions
• Process monthly payroll with HR, including statutory deductions and payslips
• Verify and process supplier, partner and disbursements; manage petty cash
• Enforce internal approval thresholds and segregation of duties; prepare regulatory data
• Assist with annual budgeting, forecasting and cash flow planning

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related field
• Professional accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA or CIMA)
• 3-4 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in FinTech, banking, mobile money or digital payments

Skills & Competencies:

• Practical knowledge of IFRS and local tax legislation
• Proficiency in ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Xero or QuickBooks and advanced spreadsheets
• High accuracy with large-volume data, integrity and confidentiality
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and cross-time-zone communication skills
