Finance Officer

• Oversee local tax agents to ensure timely and accurate bookkeeping and financial statement preparation in compliance with local accounting standards, whilst converting reports to Chinese accounting standards
• Understand local tax legislation, review tax agents' calculations, declarations and payments of all levies, and promptly address tax-related matters
• Monitor cash flows, arrange receipts and disbursements, assist with cross-border fund transfers, and handle on-site payment transactions
• Collaborate internally with all departments, providing professional financial advice to support business development
• Maintain and nurture positive working relationships with intermediaries including banks, tax agents, and auditors
• Prepare financial reports and ensure tax compliance
• Process payroll for the Uganda subsidiary
• Coordinate annual and external audits
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Chinese finance manager and general manager

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree or above in Finance, Accounting, or related field
• Over 2 years hands-on experience in comprehensive financial and tax management for overseas subsidiaries
• Familiarity with overseas financial workflows
• Experience working overseas is preferred, particularly in Africa or Uganda

• Fluent in English, capable of using English in daily work
• Familiar with Uganda tax laws and regulations
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Willing to be based in Uganda
• Reports to Chinese finance accountant and manager
