Food Safety and Hygiene Officer

• Identify key areas of risk and gaps in branch operations for timely actions driving continual improvement in product quality and safety
• Implement effective food safety and hygiene measures to ensure food is prepared in a safe and hygienic manner
• Implement food safety systems and monitor compliance across branches
• Train food handlers on their food safety and hygiene responsibilities
• Implement internal and external audit schedules and follow up on corrective and preventive actions (CAPs) arising
• Carry out micro testing of food, water and swabs and implement sampling schedules and corrective actions for failed samples
• Manage external calibration of probe thermometers and implement the calibration schedule
• Reduce customer complaints against the year's target reduction percentage

Qualifications & Experience:

• Food science based degree or Diploma from a recognized institution
• 2 years working in a QA/Food Safety related position in an FMCG environment
• Qualification or experience in ISO 22000/HACCP is an added advantage
• Must live in Mombasa
• Driver's licence preferred
