General Service Assistant (Part-Time)

• Sweep, scrub, and mop assigned duty stations
• Clean dusty surfaces including blinds, furniture, file cabinets, and windowsills
• Disinfect contaminated items and surfaces using approved solutions
• Provide laundry services: pick dirty linen, sort, soak, wash, rinse, dry, press and fold
• Ensure waste is disposed of appropriately and garbage bins are disinfected
• Follow infection prevention and control measures at all times
• Maintain and store cleaning equipment properly
• Participate in hospital Spiritual Ministry programs

Qualifications & Experience:

• Completed certificate in Hotel Management and Institutional Catering preferred
• Experience in kitchen, laundry and cleaning functions in a recognized hotel, guest house or hospital

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong understanding of the need for an appropriately clean environment
• Ability to learn how to sterilize material, an area or room
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Must be able to speak, read and write English
• Flexible attitude to duties with ability to remain calm under pressure
