Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate the implementation of education policies, programmes and activities in the school
- Plan, budget and ensure proper utilisation of school resources
- Supervise teaching and learning activities to ensure delivery of quality education
- Ensure the preparation and implementation of schemes of work and lesson plans
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of teachers and other school staff
- Maintain discipline among learners and staff
- Ensure the safety, welfare and general well-being of learners
- Manage school records and prepare reports on school activities
- Mobilise parents and the community to participate in school development activities
- Ensure the maintenance of school buildings, equipment and other facilities
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Qualifications & Experience:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Education from a recognised university or an equivalent qualification recognised by the relevant authorities
- Relevant teaching experience and experience in school administration
