• Implement approved site HSE plans and procedures under the direction of the HSE Manager.
• Conduct daily site inspections, record findings, and verify closure of corrective actions.
• Monitor safety controls for high-risk activities including work at height, scaffolding, excavations, lifting, and hot work.
• Conduct site HSE inductions and support toolbox talks and worker safety briefings.
• Monitor contractor compliance with fall protection, traffic management, PPE, and environmental controls.
• Inspect emergency response arrangements including fire equipment, first aid, and spill kits.
• Report incidents, near misses, and environmental events promptly and assist in investigations.
• Exercise stop work authority where imminent danger exists and ensure safe resumption of work.

Qualifications & Experience:

• NEBOSH International General Certificate required; NEBOSH Diploma, IOSH Chartered Membership, or relevant degree preferred.
• Eight to 10 years of experience in construction HSE, including at least three years in a lead or supervisory role.
• Experience on high-rise construction sites with workforces of 200+ workers.
• Thorough knowledge of the Uganda Occupational Safety and Health Act and local regulatory standards.
