• Assess illness or injury, provide first aid and nursing care within scope, document findings and determine whether return to class, observation or referral is appropriate
• Stabilise emergencies, activate the emergency-response plan, arrange safe referral and communicate with authorised contacts
• Follow up referred cases and support safe return to learning in line with clinical advice
• Recognise and escalate symptoms suggesting serious illness, mental-health crisis, abuse, poisoning or communicable disease
