IT Security Officer

• Test the functionality and effectiveness of information security safeguards
• Carry out risk assessments and compliance checks on running systems and new projects, recommending solutions to vulnerabilities
• Conduct IT security awareness training for system users in line with identified needs and policies
• Make periodic reports to the Manager IT Security on vulnerabilities, breaches, attacks and awareness feedback
• Enforce and maintain policies, procedures and mechanisms protecting confidentiality, integrity and availability of information
• Develop and implement information security and disaster recovery programmes in line with approved standards
• Manage remediation of audit issues identified by the Risk and Audit team
• Monitor access to all systems and maintain access control profiles on networks and systems
• Manage, investigate and handle information security breaches and cyber security incidents
• Review the ICT Business Continuity Management plan for adequacy and ensure required tests are executed

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Cybersecurity or a related field
• A minimum of 2 years' experience in IT Security
• Certifications: CISSP, CISA, CEH, CISM, Security+ or other relevant certifications

Skills & Competencies:

• Information security and risk assessment and management
• Ability to communicate security concepts to technical and non-technical staff
• Solid experience in cyber security controls and incident handling
• Strong knowledge of banking regulations on cyber security and technology risk management
• In-depth knowledge of vulnerability scanning and auditing tools, enterprise-scale IDS and firewall architectures and secure messaging architectures
