Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop technical documents and handbooks to accurately represent application design and requirements lifecycle management
- Understand client requirements and how they translate into application features
- Design creative prototypes according to specifications
- Perform unit and integration testing before launch; conduct functional and non-functional testing
- Trace requirements from development to deployment of the final solution to ensure the business need is met
- Participate in user review and user acceptance sessions to ensure the delivered solution meets business requirements
- Troubleshoot and debug applications
- Prepare Systems Specifications Documents covering all business requirements
- Develop solutions or work with 3rd party vendors to deliver solutions in alignment with the Systems Specifications Document
- Provide support for platform-based solutions before final escalation to vendor/OEM
- Ensure compliance with change management, SDLC and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Identify and manage resources necessary for all stages of systems development projects
- Test solutions in the test environment and deploy solutions to production
- Provide support in database management, administration and maintenance
- Provide support and solutions for existing applications and channels in a timely manner
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering or any related field
- A minimum of 3 years in systems development and applications support
- Sound knowledge of API Banking Technologies
- Experience with database support and development tasks in both transactional and DSS environments
- Experience in .NET (C#) and/or Java-based application development
- Strong knowledge of Oracle / MS SQL / Sybase databases; programming in SQL, PL/SQL
- Knowledge of Windows and Unix/Linux operating systems
Skills & Competencies:
- Proven ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Proven ability to provide creative, analytic solutions to complex technical problems
- Demonstrated abilities with source control systems and team collaborative software/database development and knowledge management
- High level of energy, creativity and flexibility
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
