Mobile Phone Repair Technician

• Diagnose hardware and software faults accurately on smartphones and related mobile devices.
• Repair and replace screens, batteries, charging ports, cameras, speakers, microphones, buttons, connectors and other components.
• Troubleshoot software issues and perform software installations, updates and resets where required.
• Assess liquid/water-damaged devices and determine repair feasibility.
• Perform motherboard/component-level diagnosis and repairs, including micro-soldering where required.
• Work confidently across major smartphone brands, particularly Apple, Samsung and Xiaomi/Redmi.
• Test every repaired device systematically before returning it, verifying display, touch, charging, cameras, speakers, microphones, connectivity and buttons.
• Complete repairs within agreed turnaround times while maintaining high-quality standards, and manage multiple repair jobs efficiently.
• Explain faults, repair requirements, pricing and timelines clearly and professionally to customers.
• Maintain accurate records of all devices received, repairs performed and every spare part used against the corresponding job.
• Comply with quality standards and never recommend unnecessary repairs or products solely to increase sales.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Certificate or Diploma in Electronics, Telecommunications, Mobile Phone Repair or a related technical field is preferred.
• Approximately 2 years or more of practical smartphone repair experience is preferred; candidates with less experience may be considered if they demonstrate strong technical ability during the practical assessment.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong practical knowledge of both Android and iOS devices.
• Experience repairing multiple brands, particularly Apple, Samsung and Xiaomi/Redmi.
• Strong knowledge of hardware diagnostics and component replacement.
• Experience with motherboard diagnosis and micro-soldering is highly desirable.
• Ability to use diagnostic, repair and micro-soldering tools safely and correctly.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision.
• Integrity, reliability, attention to detail and customer data confidentiality.
• Shortlisted candidates will complete a practical technical assessment before final selection.
