Optometrist

• Perform eye refraction tests and assess visual acuity using observation, instruments and pharmaceutical agents
• Diagnose eye diseases and abnormalities such as glaucoma or colour blindness
• Prescribe, supply, fit and adjust eyeglasses, contact lenses and other vision aids
• Educate and counsel patients on contact lens care, visual hygiene, lighting and safety practices
• Consult with ophthalmologists or other healthcare professionals and refer patients for further medical treatment when necessary

Qualifications & Experience:

• Required experience level: 2 to 5 years or more in eye care services
• Required education level: high school, technical school, college, HND, Bachelor, Master or Doctorate in optometry

Skills & Competencies:

• Proven expertise in eye care and vision correction
• Strong knowledge of ophthalmic equipment and diagnostic tools
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and adhere to clinical protocols
• Fluent in English with good spoken proficiency
