Description (Public)
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Receive prescriptions, dispense medicines accurately, and label dispensed products correctly
- Advise customers on dosage, directions for use, side effects, and proper storage of medicines
- Serve customers professionally at the counter and handle payments
- Check stock levels, receive deliveries, and store medicines under the correct conditions
- Monitor and report expiring or near-expiry medicines
- Maintain accurate dispensing and sales records in line with pharmacy standards
- Support the pharmacist with daily operations, cleanliness, and organisation of the pharmacy
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Qualifications & Experience:
- Certificate or Diploma in Pharmacy, Dispensing, or a related health field
- Minimum of 2 years and above working experience in a pharmacy or health facility
Skills & Competencies:
- Good knowledge of common medicines and their correct use
- Strong customer care and communication skills
- Accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a busy retail pharmacy environment
