Senior Forestry Officer

• Manage forest sub-sector programmes in the District
• Manage the sustainable use and generation of revenue from Local District forest reserves
• Enforce compliance with laws and regulations on sustainable exploitation of forestry resources in the District
• Provide technical guidance and forestry extension services to the Council and the communities
• Prepare and submit reports on the state of the forest sub-sector of the District
• Prepare and submit work plans and budgets for forest management programmes and activities
• Requisition and promptly account for resources and equipment released to the Forestry Office
• Supervise and appraise the performance of technical and support staff of the Forestry Office

Qualifications & Experience:

• An Honours Bachelor of Science Degree in Forestry, Community Forestry or any other relevant field from a recognized institution
