Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Own execution of the Operations Manual: opening/closing, cash handling, floor discipline, section standards
- Manage staff rota, attendance, performance and on-the-job coaching across all sections
- Own daily and weekly sales reporting to the Founder & CEO: flag stock, service or people issues early
- Oversee visual merchandising standards across the store, ensuring consistency with the target premium positioning
- Coordinate with the Finance & Admin Officer on floats, banking and supplier payments relevant to store operations
- Manage the VIP client experience personally for top-tier clients and made-to-measure handovers
- Lead recruitment and induction of store-level staff alongside the Founder & CEO
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree
- 3+ years retail management experience, ideally in fashion, hospitality-adjacent or premium retail
- Uganda market knowledge and fluent English (additional local languages an advantage)
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong people leadership and floor presence; comfortable running a multi-category, multi-till environment
- Numerate - confident reading sales, stock and cash reports
