Technical Assistant

• Assist in preparing, editing and interpreting construction and technical drawings using AutoCAD or similar software
• Prepare and review quotations, cost estimates, Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and material schedules
• Assist with project valuations, measurements and calculations of quantities and costs
• Organise and check project information to ensure figures, measurements and other details are accurate and consistent
• Use spreadsheets and other software to prepare, update and maintain technical documents and project records
• Follow established procedures while learning new processes and taking on increasing responsibility
• Identify errors, discrepancies or missing information and raise them early
• Communicate clearly with the CEO, colleagues, suppliers and other parties when gathering or clarifying technical information
• Manage assigned tasks independently, keep work organised and meet agreed deadlines

Qualifications & Experience:

• At least a Diploma in Civil Engineering, Building Construction or a related field (Degree holders welcome to apply)
• Good understanding of construction drawings, measurements, quantities and costing principles

Skills & Competencies:

• Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar drawing software
• Basic computer skills, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel
• Strong numerical and analytical skills
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English
• Honesty, attention to detail, initiative and a strong sense of responsibility
• Willingness to learn, accept guidance and improve through practical experience
